Our Lady of Mercy is looking for a Full-time RN Overnight Supervisor for our 11p-7a shift!

MONDAY-FRIDAY POSITION, NO WEEKENDS REQUIRED!

This is your chance to get administrative clinical experience – manage resident care delivery across all units, be the clinical reference nurse administrator in absence of unit leaders on the overnight shift! Our team is willing to train nurses who are looking to advance their nursing career to a leadership role! Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, located between Schenectady and Albany is committed to providing quality services with the outstanding compassion for which St. Peter’s is renowned. Divided into four units of 40 residents each, four private rooms and 18 semiprivate rooms, Our Lady strives to maintain the intimacy of a homelike setting. Responsibilities:

On behalf of the Director of Nursing, provides for the continuity of nursing services in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality nursing care to residents and families Perform assessments on elder’s that may have had a fall, a decline in condition or perhaps suicidal comments Act as the senior liaison and administrative person on the campus and address staffing and family concerns Asked to participate in auditing or QA activities Demonstrates the organization’s commitment to sound ethical business practices as directed by the Corporate Compliance Office and approved by the Board of Trustees What you will need:

Required:

A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York Associate’s degree in nursing or Degree of Nursing from an accredited school

Preferred:

1 year or more of experience in a skilled nursing setting as a RN Bachelor’s degree of nursing Registered Nurses at St. Peter’s NRC must possess a passion for caring for patients and demonstrate a respectful, caring, professional demeanor The RN Supervisor must be able to lead and supervise a team of different backgrounds and possess strong de-escalation skills. The RN Supervisor must have excellent time management and organizational skills The RN Supervisor must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written and possess strong critical thinking skills to problem solve
