SUMMARY:

Provides oversight of RN/ LPN/CNA andsecretarial staff in the performance of daily duties. Assists inproblems solving to help alleviate clinical issues and processes onthe assigned unit. Act as the clinical resource person, working asa team with the nurse manager, staff and the provider to identifythe plan of care for each patient. Supports nurse manager indeveloping work plans that enable the unit to reachfinancial/quality/safety/operational targets. Provide superiorcustomer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees & assures short & long term NursingDept. staff schedules per established guidelines.
• Facilitatesunits in emergency medical assessment & care of residents includinginterventions, transportation & other resources needed.
• Serves asa clinical resource person to staff in problem solving,assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements.
• Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissionsdept. the rapid admission of residents including obtainingevaluations as indicated.
• Serves as adjunct to staff developmentcoordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff asper master schedule/plan.
• Provides continuity of resident statuswith hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration.
• Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents,families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime andassuring appropriate completion of required records.
• Serves asmajor facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept.

includingcompletion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actionsrequired.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accreditedregistered nurse program
• One to three years of nursing experiencerequired.
• Registered in NYS as a registered nurse professional.

.Basic Life Support (BLS)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’sdegree preferred.
• LT PAC nursing experience preferred.
• One yearof supervisory experience preferred.
