RN Unit Manager Position Available In Nassau, New York

RN Unit Manager Meadowbrook Care Center 320 West Merrick Road, Freeport, NY 11520 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Supervisor to lead our team in providing exceptional patient care. The Unit Supervisor will oversee daily operations of one of our units, ensuring that all staff members adhere to best practices while maintaining high standards of service. This role requires a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment, and various healthcare procedures, including IV infusion and family planning. Responsibilities Supervise and manage the daily activities of the unit staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care. Conduct patient assessments to determine care needs and develop appropriate care plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate primary care services and ensure continuity of care. Oversee the administration of IV infusions and other medical procedures as required. Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and other electronic health record systems. Provide training and support to staff on medical terminology, DME (Durable Medical Equipment), and memory care practices. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional development. Experience 2+ years experience in a supervisory role within a nursing home. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient assessment techniques. Familiarity with IV infusion procedures and family planning services is highly desirable. Experience with Sigmacare is an asset. Background in memory care settings will be considered a plus. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
