The Assistant Nursing Manager is aRegistered Nurse (RN) who has responsibility for the supervision ofpatient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations. Thisposition supervises a work group to ensure that a high quality,cost-effective patient and family centered care is provided insupport of the hospital’s strategic plan, and the function’s goalsand objectives. This position works collaboratively with functionalleadership and is responsible for the oversight of daily operationsof the assigned department including off shift and weekendsupervision of nursing and non-licensed staff. This positionmanages resources, quality improvement, payroll, creating andmaintaining colleague schedules and monitors patient throughput tofacilitate efficient clinical operations. In addition, thisposition is responsible for a safe and therapeutic unitenvironment, which includes working in the department as staff RNto assist as needed. This position supports leadership in ensuringstandards of excellence and professional development are fosteredand met. This position also participates in and may leadPerformance Improvement work in their assigned department.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursingrequired; MSN preferred Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experiencepreferred Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experiencerequired Registered Nurse licensure in the State of CT CertifiedBLS provider credentialed form the American Heart Association (AHA)Certification in a specialty area required within 3 years of startdate in position or March 1, 2024 if already in position We takegreat care of careers.
