JOB DETAILS Join Staten Island University Hospital in New York as their next Nurse Manager, Cardiothoracic OR! The Position The Nurse Manager, Cardiothoracic OR, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a two-room Cardiothoracic Operating Room.
Reporting to the Associate Executive Director of Perioperative Services, with a dotted-line relationship to the Senior Director of Cardiology Operations, this leader will oversee a team of 10 FTEs.
This leader will be expected to quickly learn existing workflows, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, strengthen team dynamics, and build strong relationships across all levels of staff. They will also support organizational initiatives related to the Magnet journey.
Seeking a highly visible leader with deep expertise in Cardiothoracic Surgery. The ideal candidate will be a strong, hands-on mentor with the ability to teach and train staff, while also demonstrating a solid understanding of fiscal operations. Requirements BSN required; MSN preferred. Active NY RN required.
A minimum of five years of relevant leadership experience in a similar setting is required. Compensation Details The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
