Oversee oncology nursing staff and phlebotomymedical oncology clinic medical oncology infusion radiationoncology Typical manager duties such as staff scheduling HR relatedduties•hiring, coaching, corrective action Education/trainingcoordination Hours of operation M-F 7:30 am•4:30 pm, staff do nottake call over the weekend
Job Summary:
Manages activities,workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).
JobResponsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensurescompliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for selfand within unit. Conducts hiring, training, directing, developmentand evaluating of staff. Identifies and resolves issues affectingthe delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).Develops and implements policies and procedures to guaranteeefficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures,purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budgetguidelines. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree inNursing
EXPERIENCE
Two years’ registered nurse experience, withdemonstrated progressive leadership responsibility OR one year ofregistered nurse experience plus one year of relevant leadershipexperience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying andpushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting,standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/armmovements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception fordistances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and toidentify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speechto share information through oral communication. Ability to hearalarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/dataentry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twistingand gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pullingobjects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
