Charge Nurse Charge Nurse LPN Responsibilities:
Patient Care Management:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Monitor and manage patient progress, addressing changes in condition and implementing appropriate interventions. Ensure that all patients receive individualized care based on their needs and preferences.
Staff Supervision and Coordination:
Supervise and support nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Assign duties and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify areas for improvement. Address and resolve patient and family concerns, ensuring satisfaction and effective communication.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Prepare and submit reports on patient care, staff performance, and any incidents or concerns to facility management.
Emergency Response:
Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, coordinating with emergency response teams as necessary. Provide leadership during crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning and decision-making processes.
Charge Nurse Charge Nurse LPN Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Valid Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) license.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to make sound clinical decisions and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Salary:
