Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified,Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland,Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester. Wecurrently have the need for a full-time Nurse Manager to supportour busy Peekskill, NY location. Position Summary A Nurse Managerrenders professional nursing care to patients, within an assignedunit or authorized community health center site, in support ofmedical care as directed by the medical staff and pursuant to theobjectives and policies of the Hudson River Community Health,participates in the interview process, make hiring decisions, trainstaff on policies and procedures, conduct performance reviews, andfollow progressive discipline guidelines as needed and isresponsible for conducting monthly quality health standard auditsof assigned units. Performs other duties as assigned on as neededbasis. Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities Provide patienteducation according to patient needs and preferences and documentin medical record Attend mandated training and demonstratecompetence on all nursing procedures, including relevant labprocedures Manage/lead the clinical staff (nurses, medical andclinical assistants, laboratory staff, and, and PatientNavigators), including but not limited to recruitment and hiring,performance reviews, onboarding, training and competencies,assignments, and work flow Ensure that all clinical staff (nurses,medical and clinical assistants, laboratory staff, and, and PatientNavigators) adhere to and understand the work flows, documentationrequirements in EHR according to HRHCARE quality standards Reviewall site quality data monthly and identify, lead and developstrategies for improvement in collaboration with the siteleadership team, to promote quality, safety and patientsatisfaction Ensure that site champions are identified for the corequality initiatives and core systems including workflow anddocumentation are understood and executed. Ensure that HRHCarestandard procedures and work flows are implemented and followed,including but not limited to: medication management, pre-visitplanning, team huddles, accurate and timely completion of NursingQuality Logs, exam room readiness, ordering and storing of suppliesand equipment Responsible for oversight of laboratory operationsand continuous review of In-House Lab Tests Quality Control andMaintenance Logs Ensure that the quality of care is assessed andimproved through regular record audits In collaboration with therest of the site leadership team, develop and lead initiatives topromote and improve quality, safety and patient satisfactionParticipate in monthly leadership and staff meetings Demonstrateknowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes, andperform regular review of D & S Processing and Maintenance Logs(note: in sites with dental services, dentist performs moreintensive review of logs, but NM needs to be familiar with andshares responsibility for compliance with standards) Conductmonthly component meetings with all clinical support team andreview the priority issues of the organization including quality,safety and patient satisfaction including any organizationalupdates or initiatives Complete annual evaluations of clinicalsupport team Monitor and facilitate patient follow-up as needed,including test results and missed appointments. Demonstrateknowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan, and provide age- appropriate and culturally sensitive care,including use of medical interpreters as indicated Perform directpatient care duties of an

interview patients for healthhistory, prepare equipment and assist practitioner duringexamination and treatment of patients, document in patient medicalrecord according to HRHCare standard, assess and triage patients asneeded
