The Nurse Manager:

supervises all aspects of the Acute Psychiatric Nursing Department by overseeing the treatment services provided by the nursing department for our inpatient psychiatric programs. This position qualifies for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Job Duties and Responsbilities:

Providing administrative management, training and supervision/evaluation of all nursing staff, house supervisors, and unit clerks Prioritization and delegation of duties Working with the Staff Scheduler on unit staffing Performing direct patient care services in the Nursing capacity Must possess knowledge of dual diagnosis/chemical dependency/mental health patients; age-specific patient issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis prevention and intervention techniques; knowledge and comprehension of regulatory agency standards (DOH, DPW, CMS, Joint Commission, etc.); staff development procedures and requirements; ability to communicate orally, telephonically, and in writing; working knowledge of computer systems and various software. Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player. Good documentation, organization and time management skills are necessary. Must be effective in decision-making and problem solving. Nurse Manager Job Requirements:

Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse required. Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required. Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing or its equivalent OR qualified by education and experience in the care of the mentally ill preferred. 3 years experience with a co-occurring population preferred.
