Responsibilities:

As a Unit Manager/Director – RN wherewithin an assigned unit you will support the Director of Nursingwith the delivery of high quality care while achieving positiveclinical outcomes, and patient/resident, family and employeesatisfaction.

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations,coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care foran assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident caredelivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values andpolicies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with acceptedstandards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensingrequirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitationtherapy and other professionals to ensure the best possibleoutcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
• Manage the humanresources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime andagency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing thework performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinaryaction when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must be graduate of anaccredited school of nursing, college or university.
• CurrentRegistered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing isrequired.
