Job Description Responsibilities Nurse Manager – Cardiac Step Down Unit Aiken Regional MedicalCenters, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute carefacility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken andsurrounding communities. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has beenranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the Carolina Center forMedical Excellence for its treatment of heart attack, heart failureand pneumonia. Services provided at the hospital include emergencymedical care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, and behavioralhealth services. Aiken Regional is proud to be a teaching facilitythat supports local nursing students through our dedicated andtenured nursing team. The Nurse Manager ensures effective unitoperations by mentoring and providing direct supervision of theunit’s staff. As a unit leader, the Nurse Manager promotesprofessional growth, learning and facilitates the development of afully qualified and continuously improving staff. The Nurse Mangercollaborates with the quality department and other hospital leadersto redesign and lead performance improvement activities to enhancecare delivery and efficency througout the organization. The NurseManager has 24 hour accountability for operational effectivenessand is responsible for planning and executing both the operationaland capital budgets in collaboration with the Director of InpatientServices and the CNO. The Nurse Manager ensures clinical practiceis evidence-based and closely aligned with the goals of ourphysician partners. Qualifications Job Requirements:

BSN required, Masters degree preferred. Minimum offive years nursing experience required. Previous leadershipexperience required, managements experience preferred. CurrentSouth Carolina RN license. BLS and ACLS required. Knowledge ofhuman resource management, program development, fiscal managementskills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agencystandards needed.
