Nurse Unit Manager Ashley River Healthcare 1137 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29407 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the operations of our healthcare unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of case management, nurse management, and acute care settings. As a Unit Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations. Responsibilities Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes. Implement and manage case management processes to enhance patient flow and resource utilization. Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations, including ICD-10 coding standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide training and support to staff on best practices in assisted living and acute care environments. Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including phlebotomy procedures and ventilatory support when needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Current nursing license with relevant certifications in case management or nurse management. Proven experience in an acute care setting Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Familiarity with assisted living standards and practices is a plus.
