ResponsibilitiesRecommends employment decisionsfor staff to the director of operations, including decisions tohire, fire, advance, promote or change status.

Responsible for overall quality of patient care and clinical performance of nursesand aides.

Organizes clinical operations for the care center.

Reviewsrequests for services and determines patienteligibility/suitability for home care services. Works with intakein coordinating patient referrals and admissions.

Overseesscheduling.

Oversees payor verification and precertificationrequirements.

Reviews documentation of other staff members andensures missing, incomplete and/or untimely documentation issuesare resolved.

Assists clinicians in establishing immediate andlong-term patient goals, setting priorities and developing Plan ofCare (POC).Regularly evaluates the needs of the patient and makesnecessary revisions to the plan of care in collaboration withclinicians.

May provide direct patient care on an infrequent basisin times of emergency.

Participates in the on-call process.

Assistswith training of staff to ensure quality care, compliance andfiscal responsibility.

Participates in the investigation andresolution of patient/family/physicianconcerns.

QualificationsAssociate or bachelor’s degree innursing.

Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you areassigned to work.

One year of clinical RN experience in home healthor hospice.

One year of RN management experience.

Current CPRcertification.
