JobSummary Directs and supervises clinical functions and activities ofthe department or group of practices; Implements and interpretspolicies, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients andfamilies. Partners withoperational and physician leadership to make strategic decisionsaround clinical process, clinical workforce budget, and thepurchase of clinical equipment; Utilizes nursing expertise toensure these strategic decisions are compliant with both regulatorystandards and organizational financial goals. Maintains personnelrecords for clinical team members in collaboration with operationalleadership; Assists with payroll, OSHA compliance and otheradministrative functions as appropriate. Supervises clinical teammembers; Directs the selection, performance appraisal and workallocation of each clinical team member. Develops and implementstraining for clinical team members in conjunction with theEducation department; Accountable for ensuring correct onboardingprocedures for new clinical team members; Facilitates yearlycompetencies in conjunction with clinical leads at each practice;Cascades pertinent clinical information to direct reports and otherpractice staff as applicable. Identifies patient/client needs;recommends and/or develops new programs and services to meet thoseneeds; ensures delivery of quality services for outpatients,families and visitors. Participates in hospital/medical staffcommittee meetings as required; Acts as a liaison/representative ofphysician leadership from supported department/group of practices;Attends and serves on professional/civic service organizations assystem representative. Directs activities related to theaccomplishment of department objectives; assists in establishingquality levels and standards and assesses activities to ensurecontinuous quality improvement; collaborates with other managementteam members in planning and coordinating program development andquality assurance/improvement initiatives. Serves as role model forother employees by performance and actions; applies managementcounseling skills in supervision and motivation of personnel;maintains and promotes good interpersonal relationships; Enhancesprofessional growth and development through such activities asprofessional affiliations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities Job has direct and/orindirect supervision of employees that may include final budgetauthority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performanceappraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of themanagement staff with direct reports. Minimum RequirementsEducation – Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health related field ofstudy. Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. Experience – Three (3)years related work experience. Experience in Nursing, Ambulatory orspecialty area preferred. Supervisory experience preferred In LieuOf In lieu of the BSN requirement above, a nursing diploma or anassociate degree in Nursing may be considered if the applicantsigns a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to enroll in anaccredited BSN or MSN program within one year and obtain a BSN orMSN degree within four (4) years. Team members employed in this jobtitle prior to May 1, 2021, are grandfathered from the BSN jobrequirement.
