The Heritage at Lowman Retirement Community is a faith-based non-profit organization looking for compassionate, caring professionals who dedicate themselves to providing quality care and promoting the highest in customer service. Located in the Midlands of South Carolina near the shores of beautiful Lake Murray, the Heritage at Lowman is a growing, robust community of active senior adults. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse-Unit Manager for our skilled nursing unit. The Registered Nurse-Unit Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing Services (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Responsible for completing, coordinating, and/or directing the initial admission assessments, medication regimen, and initial care plans for each new admission.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Licensed to practice as an LPN in the State of South Carolina Must maintain current SC LPN license and CPR certification Must have 2-4 years practical experience as an LPN and preferably in a Nursing/Resident Home environment Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and authority when circumstances warrant such action Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to residential care Must possess leadership, supervisory and authority ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care Able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition For more details concerning our community, the position and to apply for the position, please go to www.theheritageatlowman.org and click on the Careers tab.
