Responsibilities Coordinate unit staffing andprovide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinicalobjectives and quality patient care in assigned area.

• Assign,direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staff duringassigned shift. Contribute to or perform performance evaluations ofstaff.
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distributepatient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriatepatient care is given.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient careand identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
• Respond to complaints about patient care and manage throughestablished channels.
• May provide input for hiring, training,directing, development and evaluating of staff.

RequirementsLicensure / Certification /

Registration:

• BLS Provider obtainedwithin 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer daterequired. American Heart Association or American Red Crossaccepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Boardof Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer daterequired.

Education:

• Required professionallicensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specificexperience required.
