Nashville, TN The 5 Central General Surgery unit consists of 21 beds for pre andpost surgical patients. We care for the adult population with avariety of GI related, and Vascular related diagnosis. Responsibilities Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuringimplementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care inassigned area. Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staffduring assigned shift. Contribute to or perform performanceevaluations of staff. Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patientcare assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient careis given. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issuesthat affect desired patient outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage throughestablished channels. May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development andevaluating of staff. Requirements Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or jobtransfer date required. American Heart Association or American RedCross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursingobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
