Hermitage,TN 37076 Job Summary and Qualifications The Emergency Room NurseManager ensures high quality, patient-centered care throughoversight of the overall daily function and staffing of theunit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provisionof nursing care in accordance with established policies/proceduresand holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes insupport of facility objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state ofTennessee or compact state required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursingrequired, Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Basic Cardiac LifeSupport or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• 1-3 years of related clinical leadership experience

REQUIRED

Musthave a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience What youwill do in this role:

• Help create a superior clinical identity byoperationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safetyand quality outcomes, while ensuring adherence to standards ofcare.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development,assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate tothe ages of patients served.
• Manage all staffing needs andpersonnel management including interviewing, hiring and trainingnew staff members.
• Oversee care of patients on unit, providingconsistent support and expertise to staff.
• Perform duties inaccordance with unit specific standards of care and evidenced bycompletion of a competency skills check list.
• Maintain overallworkflow of unit by ensuring proper staff levels.
• Manage andcoordinates all unit activities including safety procedures, unitgoals and department operations.
• Handle patient, visitor, orphysician complaints promptly and in a professional manner.
• Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to departmentemployees.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and departments toimprove patient care delivery.
