Responsibilities Coordinate unit staffing and provideleadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives andquality patient care in assigned area. Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staffduring assigned shift. Contribute to or perform performanceevaluations of staff. Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distributepatient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriatepatient care is given. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify anyissues that affect desired patient outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage throughestablished channels. May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developmentand evaluating of staff.

Requirements Licensure / Certification /

Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date orjob transfer date required. American Heart Association or AmericanRed Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board ofNursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer daterequired.

Education:

Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year ofcumulative job specific experience required.
