RN Charge-Medical/Surgical•$20,000 Sign On Bonus at StarrRegional Medical Center summary: The RN Charge-Medical/Surgical at Starr Regional Medical Center isresponsible for managing patient care within the MedSurgDepartment, assessing patient conditions, and establishing careplans. This position also includes supervising nursing staff,managing staffing levels, and responding to patient carecomplaints. Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fillthe position of RN Charge for our MedSurg Department. This job ispermanent, full time.

Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problemsidentified and involves the patient according to his or hercapabilities and desires. Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assignedshift. Assists in Determining staffing levels and assignments based onstaff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity andwork/patient flow. Provides direct patient care as needed. Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving. Takes patient assignments to meet staffing needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies anyissues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, andmanages through established channels. Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including enteringorders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinatingtransfers. Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe,quality patient care.

Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree: X Preferred•Required Minimum Education Associate’s degree in

Nursing:

•Preferred X Required Required Licenses [Tennessee, United States] Registered Nurse RN License in the State of TN or another compact state

Required Skills Certifications:

The below certifications will be required at the time of hire: X Basic Life Support (BLS)
