RN Charge•ICU PRN at Starr Regional Medical Center summary: The Registered Nurse Charge for the ICU at Starr Regional MedicalCenter is responsible for patient assessments, care planning, andstaff supervision. This role includes evaluating patient careeffectiveness and coordinating staffing based on needs andavailability. As a permanent, PRN position, the nurse also assistsin training support staff and ensures the provision of safe,quality patient care.

Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fillthe position of Registered Nurse Charge for our ICU Department.
This job is permanent, PRN.

Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problemsidentified and involves the patient according to his or hercapabilities and desires. Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assignedshift. Assists in Determining staffing levels and assignments based onstaff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity andwork/patient flow. Provides direct patient care as needed. Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving. Takes patient assignments to meet staffing needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies anyissues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, andmanages through established channels. Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including enteringorders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinatingtransfers. Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe,quality patient care.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Associate’s degree in
Nursing:
•Preferred X Required Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree: X Preferred•Required Required Licenses [Tennessee, United States] Registered Nurse RN License in the State of TN or another compact state
Required Skills Certifications:
The below certifications will be required at the time of hire: X Basic Life Support (BLS) The below certifications will be required within 6 months of hireor when transferring into a new department with thesecertifications: X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
