  • A House Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) is a leadership rolewithin a hospital, responsible for overseeing nursing staff andensuring the seamless operation of healthcare services during theirassigned shifts. They act as the central point of coordination,addressing administrative and clinical issues to maintainhigh-quality patient care

Key Responsibilities:
Staffing and Scheduling:

Manage nurse schedules to ensure adequatecoverage across all units, addressing gaps due to absences orincreased patient acuity.

  • Resource Allocation:

    Assign nursing staff based on patient needs,acuity levels, and staff competencies to optimize care delivery

  • Crisis Management:

    Respond to emergencies such as patient crises,natural disasters, or security incidents, implementing appropriateprotocols and coordinating with relevant departments.

  • Communication:

    Serve as the liaison between nursing staff,physicians, patients, families, and hospital administration,ensuring effective information flow and addressing concernspromptly.

  • Policy Enforcement:

    Uphold hospital policies and procedures,ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

  • Patient Flow Coordination:

    Monitor patient admissions, transfers,and discharges to maintain optimal bed utilization and reducebottlenecks in patient care services.

  • Mentorship and Support:

    Provide guidance and support to nursingstaff, addressing clinical questions, facilitating professionaldevelopment, and promoting a positive work environment.

  • Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess aassociates
  • degree from an accredited nursing school.
Additionalrequirements include:

Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days ofhire. ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
