Charge Nurse Mother Baby Couplet Care Full Time NightsPosition Summary The Charge Nurse is a professional nurse whomanages the daily operations of a department (s) to provideservices for patients while meeting quality, legal, organizationaland medical staff goals. Responsible for promoting the efficientoperations to provide effective nursing care of a designateddepartment (s). Manages the department independently under theguidance of a Nurse Manager/Director. Ensures compliance withregulatory agencies, JCAHO and the Nurse Practice Act. Promotesoptimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines. Isresponsible for department(s) on a 24 hour basis.

EducationRequired:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred:

Academic degree in nursing (bachelor’s or master’s degree).Experience 1 year RN experience Certifications Currently licensed,certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law,regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
