Other acute care areas include EmergencyRoom, Critical Care, Med/ Surge and Telemetry. Charge Nurse Oncology Full Time Days Position Summary The Charge Nurse is a professional nurse who manages the dailyoperations of a department (s) to provide services for patientswhile meeting quality, legal, organizational and medical staffgoals. Responsible for promoting the efficient operations toprovide effective nursing care of a designated department (s).Manages the department independently under the guidance of a NurseManager/Director. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO and the NursePractice Act. Promotes optimum health care delivery withinbudgetary guidelines. Is responsible for department(s) on a 24 hourbasis.

Education Required:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred:

Academic degree in nursing (bachelor’s or master’sdegree). Experience 1 year RN experience Certifications Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice professionas required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy;CPR.
