Other acute care areas include Emergency Room, Critical Care, Med/Surge and Telemetry. /n /n Charge Nurse Oncology Full Time DaysPosition Summary /n The Charge Nurse is a professional nurse whomanages the daily operations of a department (s) to provideservices for patients while meeting quality, legal, organizationaland medical staff goals. Responsible for promoting the efficientoperations to provide effective nursing care of a designateddepartment (s). Manages the department independently under theguidance of a Nurse Manager/Director. /n Ensures compliance withregulatory agencies, JCAHO and the Nurse Practice Act. Promotesoptimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines. Isresponsible for department(s) on a 24 hour basis. /n Education /n

Required:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. /n

Preferred:

Academic degree in nursing (bachelor’s or master’sdegree). /n Experience /n 1 year RN experience /n /n Certifications/n Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practiceprofession as required by law, regulation in state of practice orpolicy; CPR. /n /n
