Travel RN-Resident Care Director

Windsor, VT 05089 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to join our team as a Resident Care Director. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work in diverse medical settings. You will play a crucial role in delivering patient-centered care while ensuring compliance with medical protocols and infection control measures.
Travel pay package and details:
Weekly Gross est.: $3,674.00
Weekly Stipend:
$1,274/week Weekly W-2 pay: $2,400/week Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift:
Days, 40 hrs.
Bonus:
Completion bonus at the end of the contract Requirements Minimum 3 years of current experience in a similar role with management and leadership responsibilities. Geriatric experience required . Travel experience preferred .
Education:
BSN or higher required . Additional certification in Geriatric Nursing strongly preferred (priority consideration).
Skills/Knowledge:
Basic knowledge and application of Geriatric Nursing principles . Familiarity with Vermont State regulations .
CERNER EMR
experience – Required . Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in various settings, including critical care transport and trauma medicine. Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on medical history and current health status. Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed by healthcare providers. Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities. Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and infection control practices. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care delivery. Requirements Valid nursing license in the state of practice. Experience in areas such as geriatrics, ambulatory surgery centers, or critical care is preferred. Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and nursing best practices. Ability to perform under pressure in high-stress environments such as level II trauma centers. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education. Familiarity with infection control protocols and procedures. Willingness to travel frequently to various healthcare facilities as needed.
