Schedule:

Per-Diem shifts, variable weekday options in addition to weekend coverage. This Per Diem- Dietetic Technician will be responsible for:
Assisting the Clinical Dietitian in providing the optimal nutritional care to patients.
Screening at-risks patients who may be at nutritional risk and provides supportive clinical care and follow-up.
Calculates patient’s nutrient and energy intake when ordered by a provider or as requested by dietitian.
Provides nutrition-related education for patients and caregivers on select modified diets.
Monitors progress through checking patient/family understanding of learned skills and follow through with plan. Monitors whether the intervention(s) is being implemented as prescribed, identifying data and information impacting effectiveness of intervention/plan of care. Communicates with RD regarding monitoring and evaluation activities, and with the RD, modifies the plan of care as needed.
To qualify, you must have:
Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration (the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) as a Registered Dietetic Technician is preferred.
Associate’s degree from an ACEND accredited program required, Bachelor’s Degree from an ACEND accredited program is preferred
Minimum of one to two years related experience.
Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, computer or technical principles.
Proficiency in a nutrient analysis programs.
Certification in ServSafe is preferred.
