12.5 hour shifts, 6 am to 7 pm; Variable days, every other weekend, holidays

SUMMARY:

Responsible for patient food service on assigned units , to include menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, and in-between meal food delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Takes patient menu selections before each meal, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions and offering appropriate alternatives for allergies, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences. Assembles trays accurately and efficiently based on patient menu selections and tray tickets. Communicates with Nursing to confirm diet prescriptions and ensure individual patient food needs are met. Conducts catering rounds after trays are delivered to address any additional patient requests. Retrieves trays from patient rooms promptly after meals are completed. Supports the Diet Technician in monitoring patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, require calorie counts, or need nutrition education materials. Promotes patient satisfaction by delivering high-quality food service. Adheres to HACCP guidelines for safe food handling, preparation, and distribution, including documentation of quality control measures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

M•Medium Work•Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE

$17.74•$25.22 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
