Required Qualifications:
- Current NM O.T.License
- Sufficient previous experience to perform duties
- Mustmeet all physical demands – please refer to “Physical Demands”below

Duties andResponsibilities:
- Interpretation of referrals & orders to checkfor appropriateness, indications and contraindications
- Initialevaluations / re-evaluations/ daily treatments are performed &documented in timely manner, may include but are not limited to: oMedical diagnosis, medical history, objective physical/cognitivefindings, measurable / functional / behavioral based patient goals,treatment plan, discharge plan, education and communication asindicated
- Determination of which tasks require the expertise anddecision-making capacity of the Audiologist and must be personallyrendered by the Audiologist and which tasks may be delegated
- Delegation and instruction of the services to be rendered by thesupportive personnel, including but not limited to specifictreatment program with patient goals / plan, precautions, specialproblems or contraindicated procedures
- Education and instructionas indicated, including, but not limited to: patient, family, otherstaff, follow up facilities
- Transportation of patients as needed
- Maintain, gather, clean ,set up all equipment per facilitypolicies
- Daily record Keeping, including (but not limited to)assessments, evaluations, treatments, testing and charges, allcommunication/education provided (per facility / department policy)
- Performing Rehab Department and Facility tasks as requested bymanager (i.e., CMS, Quality Data, IRF-PAI, Pre-Admission)
- Otherduties as assigned

- ALL Rehab Department jobs may place heavyphysical demands on the employee.
The amount of time that theemployee is exposed to these demands will fluctuate, as there areuncontrollable variables inherent in healthcare: patient’s heightand weight, patient’s level of cooperation and strength, specificclinical needs, etc.
Physical Activities:
- All Rehab Departmentjobs may require lifting / pushing / pulling varying weights, mayexceed two hundred (200) pounds
- Activities may includeintermittent or prolonged: standing, walking, sitting, talking,hearing, using the hands to finger and feel, pushing, pulling,stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching with arms, andsmelling
- Repetitive motions may also be required, such as: wrist/ hand movements, grasping, and finger dexterity (as in typing,writing, faxing, filing papers, etc.
)
Work Environment:
- The jobrequires exposure to the following environmental conditions: wet,humid conditions (not the weather), working near moving ormechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electricalshock, risk of vibration
- The noise level will vary from veryquiet to very loud
Sensory Requirements:
- The employee will needto be able to hear: o alarms on equipment / fire alarms / overheadannouncements o patients / families verbal discussions oinstructions / feedback from other healthcare providers
- Theemployee will need to be able to: o See and focus on close-up anddistant objects o Distinguish colors o Have intact: peripheralvision and depth perception
