Occupational Therapist Job Description The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The role involves providing age-specific direct care services to patients throughout their lifespan in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist will coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff, ensuring effective resource utilization crucial for operational stability. Responsibilities Administer occupational therapy to patients of all ages. Coordinate, delegate, and supervise tasks assigned to supportive staff. Demonstrate effective resource utilization. Communicate effectively to assist in resolving problems. Participate in performance improvement and program growth. Engage in infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety and fire safety programs. Essential Skills Occupational Therapy Florida State License 1-2 years of experience as a Hand Therapist BLS Certification Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
