Part-time Educational Vision Therapist (will train) Visual Health & Learning Center 12301 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando, FL 32828 About us Visual Health & Learning Center is a specialty optometric practice dedicated to diagnosing and treating vision problems that interfere with reading, learning and activities of daily living such as sports, climbing stairs, pouring drinks, etc. Dr. Jenna Williams-McDermed & Dr. Chi Tran use vision therapy to teach patients to use their vision across a range of different circumstances. We focus on children, particularly those with learning difficulties, using visual training as a way to improve the use of his or her eyes. We also provide specialty care to help athletes develop the advanced levels of visual ability that is needed for sports.
EDUCATIONAL VISION THERAPIST – WILL TRAIN
As a Vision Therapist, you will be in one of the most interesting and rewarding specialties in eye care. Work with children (many with special needs), helping them overcome their vision-based learning problems. Help both children and adults with visual development and visual rehabilitation. The position is part time weekdays from 2-6pm.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a bright, energetic individual who loves to help people, is a fast learner, self-directed, well-organized and has good communication skills. This person will want to commit to an opportunity that offers tremendous job satisfaction – helping children to succeed when nothing else could, and helping adults who have struggled since childhood with vision-based learning problems that now affect their professional and private lives! Some education in child development or psychology required. A background in education or experience working with children a plus but not required.
