The Occupational Therapist in Home Health is responsible for theassessment and evaluation of patient care needs related tofunctional status, activities of daily living, fine motorcoordination, home assessments and adaptive equipment, and otheroccupational therapy needs as defined by medical conditions. Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by thestate laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy, inaccordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques,and in coordination with other members of the health careteam. Evaluates the patient’s functional status, status of all bodysystems as required for CMS documentation, and occupational therapyneeds. Consults with the physician in the development of thetherapy plan of care. Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and thephysician the patient’s response to treatment and changes to thepatient’s condition. Conducts patient assessments evaluating the level of functionby applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests. License Requirements Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state ofFlorida Current CPR certification required. Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to adependable vehicle, or public transportation.
