Actively participatesin outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility inmaintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Provides direct and indirect Occupational Therapy services toinpatients and outpatients in the pediatric (1 year old and older),adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Employee isresponsible to adhere to the Florida Hospital Fish MemorialCorporate Compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of alllocal, state and federal agencies and to the standards of allaccrediting bodies.

The value youll bring to the team:

• Responsiblefor direct and indirect clinical services in the occupationaltherapy in/outpatient areas.
• Attempts initial evaluation of newlyassigned inpatients within 24 hours or documents the reason for theinability to do so in the medical record.

Uses appropriateprocedures, documents the data using accepted abbreviations, setmeasurable goals and formulates an individualized plan of care perpolicy. Completes documentation of inpatient evaluations andtreatments on the date of service. (Outpatients documentationwithin one week).

• Provides patient/family education and HEPs forcarryover of treatment into the home environment as observed bydocumentation.
• Provides age-appropriate evaluation andintervention techniques to the population served. Completes annualage specific competencies specific to scope of care.
• Participatesin the student affiliation program for Occupational Therapy(therapists and assistants) providing administrative and clinicalsupervision for same.
• Participates in ongoing reviews ofoccupational therapy and rehab policies and procedures (availableon the ARC), making recommendations to update as appropriate.
• Attends mandatory quarterly staff meetings or meets with areasupervisor or Director before next scheduled workday.

The expertiseand experiences youll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy.
• Currentprofessional license in state of Florida.

Preferred qualifications:

• Clinical Specialty certification.
