Duties:
Assist the physician in evaluatingthe patient’s functional status and occupational therapy needs, andassist in the development of the plan of careProvide serviceswithin the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governingthe practice of occupational therapy, in the accordance with theplan of care, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare teamProvide skilled Occupational Therapy at patientshomesPrepare written summary to the physician at least every twomonths/sixty daysSet rehab goals for patientsGuide the patient inthe use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities for thepurpose of improving function.
Requirements:
Must be currentlylicensed by the state of Louisiana and registered by the AmericanOccupational Therapy Association.
Have at least one year ofexperience as an Occupational Therapist (OT)CPRcertificationPatient service-oriented and time managementskills.
