Job Description
Extended School Year (ESY) is a Special Education Program for students with disabilities whose IEP team has determined that in order to prevent substantial regression and reduce recoupment times the students require a longer year. Services are based on individual needs to address IEP goals and objectives.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise, consult, and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant(s), (COTAs).
Schedule and provide occupational therapy services for students on an IEP
Communicate student progress based on data collected to parents/guardians and school personnel
Deliver effective instruction and fulfill all professional responsibilities
Willingness to be trained in and use positive behavior support strategies
Complete any other duty or assignments as directed by the Director of Special Education/ESY Coordinator
