OT – Developmental Disabilities/School/Pediatrics 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Andover, MA 01810 Occupational Therapist – School Based, Developmental Disabilities A highly regarded nonprofit organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join their collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This full-time position is based on a scenic, residential campus and serves students ages 6 to 22 in a specialized day school environment for individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Role:
In this rewarding role, the Occupational Therapist will provide direct and consultative therapy services to children and young adults with diverse developmental and behavioral needs. You’ll play a key role in promoting functional independence, enhancing life skills, and supporting students in reaching their highest potential in an educational setting.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Includes three annual breaks: one week in April (MA spring break), one week in December, and the week of July 4th
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized occupational therapy services as outlined in IEPs Provide consultative support and training to staff across the program Implement and maintain the use of adaptive equipment and augmentative devices Conduct assessments, evaluations, screenings, and discharge planning Track data accurately and document service delivery in a timely manner Monitor student progress and update treatment plans as needed Ensure a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, including working with students who may present with behavioral challenges
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor’s or Master’s) Current Massachusetts licensure as an Occupational Therapist Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered Experience working with children or young adults with autism, brain injuries, or other complex developmental needs preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
