Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract To Hire Position Overview We’re currently searching for a passionate and licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide virtual support to K-12 students across Massachusetts. This fully remote opportunity lets you work from home while delivering personalized therapy services designed to help students develop skills for independence and academic success. As a key member of our dynamic teletherapy team, you’ll collaborate closely with families, school staff, and service providers to create tailored, student-centric interventions — all within a secure online platform. Key Responsibilities Provide engaging and individualized occupational therapy services to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and update IEP goals and treatment plans in compliance with Massachusetts state guidelines and student data. Adapt and modify therapy strategies to meet the unique functional, motor, and sensory needs of each student. Collaborate with special education teams, general education teachers, and families to provide comprehensive and coordinated services. Monitor student progress regularly and adjust intervention plans to maximize progress toward goals. Participate in virtual IEP meetings, offering clinical expertise and recommendations. Maintain accurate service delivery records and documentation in adherence to Massachusetts education standards and district policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Active and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Massachusetts. Preferred two years of pediatric or school-based Occupational Therapy experience. Proficient in developing treatment plans, progress reports, and complying with special education procedures. Technologically proficient and comfortable using remote therapy platforms and digital tools. Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills. Self-directed and able to effectively manage a caseload remotely. Technology Requirements Reliable high-speed internet connection. Laptop or desktop computer (tablets and Chromebooks are not supported). Ability to complete a brief tech screening to assure platform compatibility.
