Occupational Therapist, Full-time 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 168 West Central Street, Natick, MA 01760 Overview Eliot is searching for an Occupational Therapist with experience in working with adults that have serious and persistent mental illness. Our ideal candidate will be driven, with an interpersonal savvy that allows you to develop lasting relationships with both the people we serve and with Team Members. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients’ daily living skills and overall well-being. Implement therapeutic interventions that may include activities to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, case managers, and educators, to ensure holistic care for patients. Provide guidance and support to families regarding strategies for home-based interventions. Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations. Educate patients and families about the therapeutic process and the importance of adherence to treatment plans. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to occupational therapy practices. Experience working with children in outpatient settings or schools is highly desirable. Familiarity with case management principles and the ability to coordinate care effectively. Proficiency in early intervention strategies that support developmental milestones in children. Ability to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals through tailored therapeutic activities. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
