Category Schools – OT Job Type Contract An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This role is designed for the full school year, serving a diverse caseload across 28 schools within the district. The position is suitable for both seasoned professionals and new graduates eager to apply their skills in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy Current state license or eligibility for licensure Experience in school settings preferred, but not required for new graduates Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and parents Knowledge of IEPs and related documentation processes
Location:
Brandon, MS Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring occupational therapy Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions Ensure compliance with state regulations and school policies regarding therapy services
