Overview:
We will accept new grads or experienced therapists!
The Occupational Therapist evaluates patient?s conditions, plans,organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs thatfacilitates return to optimal functional abilities, improvemobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or preventdeformity of patients suffering from disease or injury, includingpatient and family education. This position implements care plansusing evidence-based modalities and skilled interventions toincrease patients’ ability to achieve mutually establishedfunctional goals. This position monitors and evaluates outcomesrelated to the assessment and plan of care. The OccupationalTherapist I requires guidance and mentoring for completion of theessential job functions.
Responsibilities:
Assists in evaluationsof patients’ physical abilities, medical history, and functionallimitations to develop individualized treatment plans. Administerstherapeutic exercises and other occupational therapy interventionsto improve patients’ strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, homeexercises, and self-management techniques to improve recoveryoutcomes. Collaborates with other in developing and implementingdischarge plans and recommendations for continued care and mayrequire some guidance from other team members. Monitors anddocuments patients’ progress, treatment outcomes, and responses tointerventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed.
Collaborates on teams from different departments to ensurecoordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes. Performsother duties as assigned.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
EXPERIENCE
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING
Required:
Licensed by theNorth Carolina Occupational Therapy Board; BLS (CPR)-American RedCross or AHA Healthcare Provider
