ECU HealthAbout ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECUHealth Medical CenterECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as acampus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-servicehospital is located in Washington and has earned nationaldesignation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bedemergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients peryear, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center – a providerof leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among othercancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medicaland surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthingcenter, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.

PositionSummaryResponsible for assessment, treatment planning and executionof Occupational Therapy treatments. These services are based on thepatient/family preferences and the developmental needs, medicalconditions and diseases as they affect patient care and recovery.

The staff therapist will be responsible for maintaining patientcare documentation and adherence to documentation guidelines. Thestaff therapist shall provide patient care following development ofa treatment plan completed considering the patient’s problems asrelated to occupational performance.

Minimum RequirementsCurrent OT(FR) Minimum Position Requirements Graduation from an accreditedschool of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor’s, Master’s Degreeor Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.

Progressiveand dynamic knowledge of Occupational Therapy and a willingness toparticipate in continuing education, to remain current in newtheories of treatment.

Ability to work with other health careprofessionals in a manner that will ensure continued cooperativeefforts is required.

Must have successfully passed the examadministered by the National Board for Certification ofOccupational Therapy (NBCOT). OT licensure or eligible with Stateof North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT).At leastone year of experience in a hospital or rehabilitation type settingis required to be employed in a Flat Rate Occupational Therapistposition.
