We are currently seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position near Sneads Ferry, NC . The role will cover K-8 students throughout the school year, providing critical support to help children overcome barriers to their learning and development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in schools, though school experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students in grades K-8, identifying needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence. Design and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions to promote student participation and success in the classroom. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop and support IEP goals. Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings, to improve fine motor skills, coordination, and other developmental areas. Maintain detailed progress reports, documenting student growth and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. North Carolina Occupational Therapy license or eligibility. Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
