Job Description

Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Jefferson, NH Regency Home Health is seeking a certified Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist to provide on-site, in-person services to students with visual impairments for the 2025-2026 school year. The O&M Specialist will support students in developing the skills necessary for safe and independent travel within school and community environments.

Scope of Services and Hours:

During the School Year (Aug 25, 2025 – Jun 12, 2026):

Orientation & Mobility Services:

Two (2) sessions per month, 60 minutes each

Direct Student Services:

Two (2) sessions per month, 60 minutes each

Consultation Services:

One (1) session per month, 15 minutes Extended School Year (ESY) – 4

Weeks:
Direct Student Services:

Four (4) sessions (one per week), 60 minutes each

Responsibilities:

Conduct O&M evaluations to determine student needs and goals Provide direct therapy and instructional sessions to students Deliver consultation services to teachers, support staff, and families Create and maintain accurate documentation of all services provided Participate in IEP and/or 504 Plan meetings and collaborate with educational teams Engage in legal proceedings related to service delivery, if necessary Travel between assigned school sites is

Qualifications:

Current and valid certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (ACVREP or equivalent) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation & Mobility or related field Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings Knowledge of O&M techniques, assistive technology, and safety practices Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills Willingness and ability to travel between school sites Familiarity with IEP/504 processes and legal procedures in education Why Choose Regency Home Health?
