Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Provision Specialist to manage the sourcing, coordination, and delivery of supplies to vessels. The ideal candidate is organized, knowledgeable about food safety and logistics, and understands the unique demands of supplying ships at sea.
Types of Provisions Supplied:
1.
Food and Beverages:
Fresh Produce, Dairy Products, Meat/Poultry, Bakery, Dry/Canned Goods & Beverages 2.
Health and Hygiene Supplies:
Personal Care Products, Cleaning Supplies & First Aid 3.
Galley and Pantry Supplies:
Cooking oils,
Condiments, Snacks/Confectionery, & Kitchen Utensils and Equipment Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure high-quality food, beverages, and essential supplies from approved vendors. Handle quotes, purchase orders, and basic paperwork. Coordinate with vessel crew and operations teams to assess provisioning needs. Manage driver and coordinate order pickups from suppliers and delivery to vessels at nearby Sea Ports. Ensure all provisions meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Someone with experience in buying food or managing supplies—bonus points if it’s for ships or big operations. Good at negotiating and staying organized. Able to work under pressure (ships don’t wait!). Knows food basics and how logistics work. Comfortable using email, Excel, and procurement systems
