37 The Occupational therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease, and other conditions of health. Occupational Therapy includes performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess pathological and developmental deficits of human systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients in occupational performance areas Schedules patients, maintains written and verbal communication regarding patient and departmental concerns, submits accurate billing information within insurance restrictions Participates in rotations in all clinical areas Participates in teaching, including annual in service to peers Participates as a clinical supervisor for OT students Supervises OT assistants Promotes and contributes to all sanitary and housekeeping policies which are designed to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all clinic and general staff areas Participates in department quality improvement activities Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- required Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- required Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- required Acute Care or inpatient rehabilitation experience
- preferred Written and verbal communication (High proficiency) OT
- Occupational Therapist
- Registered National Board of Certified Occupational Therapist Upon Hire
