Job Description
Category Schools – OT Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity awaits for an experienced Occupational Therapist in a K-12 educational setting located in Irmo, SC. This role is essential in providing therapeutic services to students, enabling them to achieve their individual goals and enhance their educational experiences.
Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license in South Carolina Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively Knowledge of adaptive equipment and therapeutic materials No Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) will be considered, as supervision is not available
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ needs for occupational therapy Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student outcomes Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of approximately 27 students, primarily in grades K-6 Monitor and document students’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall support of students’ wellness and learning
