WHAT WE’RE OFFERING

The Network Provisioning Specialist is responsible for the accurate provisioning and maintenance of customer service records within the Elations Service Delivery Platform (SDP). Key duties include processing service orders, non-pay changes, and quick changes; conducting plant reviews; and coordinating across Engineering & Construction, Network Operations, and Fiber and Wireless teams to ensure timely and accurate service delivery. This role also involves managing SDP equipment records, resolving provisioning errors, and supporting customer service teams. Success in this position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required. Provision non-pay changes, quick changes, and service orders; conduct plant reviews in Elations. Design and remove fiber, cable, and wireless equipment within the Service Delivery Platform (SDP). Manage SDP inventory for copper remote service areas with limited ports; coordinate with Network Operations to test or install additional cards to resolve port shortages. Identify and correct SDP provisioning errors. Coordinate schedules for the deployment and installation of physical plant and networking equipment required to test and activate new services, working closely with internal teams including Inside Plant and Outside Plant. Provision and program business customer equipment, including VoIP phones. Assign static IP information to residential and business customer orders. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for troubleshooting network service interruptions and issues. Support maintenance activities during scheduled maintenance windows as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor’s Degree of Associate’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent military related experience, is desired. A minimum of three years of experience in telecommunications networking or a related field is desired. Knowledge and experience with Meta View Web Subscriber Management. Knowledge and experience with the Adtran TA5K and AOE platform. Knowledge and experience with fiber optic transmission, fiber optic transmission systems, and copper-based cabling systems. Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining customer uptime and service stability during provisioning activities. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time. Proficient in Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook. Proven ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers, vendors, service providers, coworkers, and other business contacts. Willingness and ability to work off-shift hours as needed to support network and equipment maintenance, upgrades, and service restoration.
