Responsibilities Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans and interventions for patients. Conduct therapy sessions with patients, focusing on improving their daily living skills and overall functionality. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans based on patient needs. Educate patients and families about therapeutic exercises and techniques to promote independence. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all patients during therapy sessions. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies. Skills Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices. Experience in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient settings, or acute care environments is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care and rehabilitation. Strong understanding of care plan development and implementation for various patient populations, including pediatrics.
