Full Job Description Description:
Become a part of our renowned physical therapy department and make a difference in the outcomes for our patients as a rehab assistant. The Rehab Assistant is responsible for supporting the clinical staff of Occupational and Physical Therapists with preparing and cleaning therapy equipment, assisting with therapy session as instructed, escorting patients from waiting room and maintaining equipment per protocols. This is a part time position. No nights or weekends.
Job Responsibilities include:
Prepare treatment areas and set up equipment for therapy sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment areas. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed. Assist therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises. Help patients with exercises and activities, providing encouragement and support. Perform other duties as assigned by the therapist or supervisor. Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, making phone calls, and maintaining patient records when assigned to occupational therapy department.
Requirements:
Demonstrates ability to handle a high volume of patients and clinical priorities Ability to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment with tact, diplomacy and discipline Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of patient Strong organizational, problem -solving and analytical skills Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm High school diploma required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Commitment to excellence, high standards, and continuously improving the quality of care provided to patients
