PROFESSOR POSITION

The University of South Alabama (USA) invites nominations and applications for a 12-month Assistant Professor, non-tenure track or tenure track faculty position in the Department of Occupational Therapy, effective May 1, 2025. USA is a doctoral/research-intensive institution offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. USA is located in the historic southern city of Mobile on beautiful Mobile Bay close to the Gulf Coast beaches and a short drive to New Orleans. This innovative Occupational Therapy Doctorate program (OTD) is organized around occupational performance areas and has an outstanding reputation.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Occupational Therapy or a related field (OTD, PhD, EdD, etc.) and be eligible for (or hold) OT licensure in Alabama. Clinical pediatric experience is required, and previous teaching experience is preferred. This position is a twelvemonth faculty position with expectations for scholarly productivity. Qualified applicants should be team-oriented and have pediatric experience and/or research area. Candidates with research experience may be considered for a tenure-track position. The successful candidate will teach courses in areas of pediatrics and general OT topics, advise students, direct doctoral capstone students, contribute to scholarship in the profession, and provide service to the profession and institution.
